What’s included

  • Door presence & greeter posture
  • Shoplifting deterrence
  • Employee escort to vehicles
  • Trespass notices & banned-list management
  • Incident reports for prosecution
  • Opening and closing coverage

Deterrence is cheaper than prosecution

The uniform at the door changes behavior before anything is in a pocket. That is a much better economic outcome than catching someone afterwards, because the prosecution path costs you staff hours, a manager off the floor, a court date and, sometimes, a civil claim, for merchandise you may or may not recover.

Our default retail policy is observe, deter, report. Detention policy is set with you in writing and follows Louisiana law, and our officers do not freelance on it. If your loss profile needs an apprehension program, that is a different conversation with different training and different insurance, and it should start with your counsel rather than with us.

The incident report is what your DA needs

A retail incident report that says “male subject, dark clothing, left the store” is useless. What gets a charge accepted is: time, location in the store, what was selected and from where, a description that would survive cross-examination, whether the subject passed the last point of sale, what was said, and how it ended.

We train to that standard because a report written for prosecution costs the same to write as one that is not, and only one of them is worth anything three months later. The same report is what your banned-list and trespass-notice program is built on.

Closing time is when your staff are most exposed

The retail problem is rarely the sales floor at 2 p.m. It is the closing routine: cash handling with the doors locked but the lights on, the walk to a car in a dark corner of the lot, and the last customer who did not want to leave.

A closing post is often four hours, three or four nights a week, and it is the cheapest coverage on this page. If your problem is staff safety at close rather than shrink, say so and we will quote that instead of a full-day post you do not need.

Frequently asked

Do your officers detain shoplifters?

Our default policy is observe, deter, report. Detention policy is set with you and follows Louisiana law.

Do you offer plainclothes loss prevention?

Not as something you can book off this page. Louisiana requires prior written approval from the state board before an officer works a plainclothes assignment, and we have not confirmed the approval route or how long it takes. So: ask us, we will find out and tell you what we learn, and we will not put a plainclothes officer in your store, or a date on your calendar, until that approval is in hand. Uniformed coverage we can quote today.
