Security for banks, pawn shops and dispensaries in Louisiana
When cash and high-value inventory sit in one room, deterrence has to be visible and the paperwork has to be perfect. These are the sites where we recommend armed coverage, tight routines, and a record that satisfies a regulator or an insurer without a scramble.
What goes wrong
- 01
Predictable routines
Same deposit run, same time, same route, same door, same person. Nearly every robbery of a cash business exploits a routine that was visible from a parking lot for weeks.
- 02
Open and close
The first and last person in the building, alone, with keys and a code, in a dark lot, is the most exposed moment of the day and the one most often left unstaffed to save a few hours.
- 03
Disputes that turn hostile
Pawn and lending counters produce arguments about value, ownership and legality. Most stay verbal; the ones that do not escalate very fast, and in front of other customers.
- 04
Records a regulator will ask for
For licensed and cash-intensive operations, the question after an incident is not only what happened but what you had in place and what you documented. Missing logs turn an incident into a finding.
What we run on your site
Every element below is written into your post orders before an officer is scheduled, and every one of them produces a record.
-
Armed officers with the credentials on file
Officers are 21 or older, hold LSBPSE firearm certification, requalify on the board’s required schedule, and have signed our use-of-force policy. We keep certification and requalification records current and available to you.
-
De-escalation first, always
An armed post is a deterrent posture, not an aggressive one. Our written policy is presence, verbal control, disengage and call 911, force only in immediate defense of life. Officers do not pursue.
-
Routines deliberately broken up
Deposit escorts on varied times and routes, a second officer for larger runs, and opening and closing procedures that put an officer in the lot before your manager unlocks the door.
-
Documentation built for review
Shift logs, escort logs, incident reports with photographs and timestamps within two hours, and certificates of insurance and officer credentials on file for your compliance binder.
Lines we would expect to see in your post orders
Post orders are the contract between what you expect and what the officer does. These are representative lines for a banks, pawn & dispensaries account, yours are written with you, signed, and attached to the agreement as an exhibit.
Anything not in the post orders triggers a change order, not a favor.
- 01Officer is in position in the lot before the opening manager arrives and remains until the close is secured.
- 02Deposit escorts: vary time and route; never the same route twice in a week; two officers above the agreed threshold.
- 03Counter disputes: officer positions in view, does not intervene verbally unless requested or safety requires it.
- 04Firearm remains holstered except in immediate defense of life. No warning shots. No pursuit off the premises.
- 05Incident report with photographs transmitted to the client and to our office within two hours, without exception.
How we usually staff banks, pawn & dispensaries
Need something else? See every service we staff, or check whether we cover your city and parish.
What it costs
Armed coverage costs more than unarmed because the officer costs more, training, requalification, screening and insurance are all higher. What moves the number:
- Armed versus unarmed, and how many hours per week the post runs
- Whether escorts and open/close coverage sit inside the post hours or are billed separately
- Single location or a multi-branch program on one agreement
- Any documentation, credential-verification or audit-support requirements your regulator imposes
We quote every post in writing - send the address, the hours and the start date and you get a written quote back in 2 hrs during business hours.
- Four-hour minimum per officer, per shift
- No long-term contract required
- Certificate of insurance naming your entity before day one

Banks, Pawn & Dispensaries: questions buyers ask
Are your armed officers licensed to carry on duty in Louisiana?
Yes. Armed officers hold LSBPSE firearm certification, are 21 or older, complete the board-prescribed firearms training and range qualification before working an armed post, and requalify annually as the board requires. We keep those records on file and will provide them, along with a certificate of insurance, before the first shift.
Can an officer escort our deposit to the bank?
Yes. Cash-in-transit escorts are a standard part of an armed post. We vary the time and the route, add a second officer above a threshold you set, and log every escort. We are not an armored-car carrier, for large, regular cash volumes an armored service is the right tool and we will say so.
Do you understand dispensary and pawn compliance requirements?
We write post orders that line up with your operating rules, logging, coverage of the areas your license requires, visitor and identification checks at the door, and records retained the way your regulator expects. We are a security contractor, not your compliance consultant: your counsel or compliance officer defines the requirement, and we make sure the security program and its documentation support it.
